Hello Readers!
Ok, so things have been up and down for a while. I tried to change careers and that lasted all of a week before I realized that it was not for me. So I went back to one of my previous jobs. I just kind of have a weird crossroads I’ve been at.
I spoke with an older co-worker and he impressed upon me that at our age, we need to “Do the job you could do for 12 hours a day, and still feel alright”. Granted, he is a server at a restaurant, and he’s regretting that he’s done a lot of what I have done in the past, drifting from one job to another to fund my hobbies.
This brings me to kind of the spot I am in: Do I make as much writing as I can with the days I’m afforded to get work out there and get the ball rolling? Finish up and get certified into a tech job then do what I can to write in the evenings? It’s kind of stressful. At least I have the Holiday Season in my current job to help me keep getting work, but that will run out at some point. An Imp has bills to pay.
I’ve started contacting collaborators with ideas and projects, and things have been going smoothly for the most part. Though I will be honest with you all. Some of these projects cost more and I don’t know if I can release those for free like I originally planned. I may have to introduce a monetization plan to help offset the cost so I can still make more. I’m thinking “Pay-What-You-Want” with a minimum of $1, so I can at least lower the bar as much as I can for people. I just kinda need help.
I’ll be submitting things to different places from a mainstream standpoint. If anyone knows of or can recommend Zines or whatever publications for kink-positive stories, I can always try to submit to them, too.
